Siona grew up in a small Jewish community in predominantly Hindu and Muslim India, and now lives in the US.  Her paintings are inspired by the imageries of her past from multicultural India, and of her present from an increasingly diverse America.

Throughout her art Siona uses a consistent shade of blue. To Siona, the blue represents being different, and personally, a jewish woman of color.
